Well I’m just going to throw it out there while it’s in ma noggin.
So first thing, my complaint to NHS England, I had the caseworker get back to me today. And she said she be happy to contact ma surgery ( ie the practice manager) and to share my comments and concerns. She said that’s the first thing they do. ( protocol and they say its quicker. Or I could go ahead with the complaint and they be investigated. So I took the first option.
I am awaiting an email reply from my said casework about whats been said and shared by me and my concerns( ie me wanting adjustments / communication/ not to be treated with ableism. And the medication request faffing about. And to be treated with a bit of compassion. So until than I don’t know much.
Oh and the CT scan faffing too. Well I got re examined today. And she was a very nice doctor. And she said CT scans are rejected due to not meeting the criteria or there just rejected. But even she said the hospital didn’t inform the surgery either ( ok I let that slide than ). But yeah getting back to it..she looked at me and my lump and I am being referred for a ultrasound thing. She reckons I have lipoma ( fatty tissue lumps sometimes cyst. But with this ultrasound it needs to be checked out ( just incase ).
The other thing is me and weightlifting. As you know I’ve have scatica now. I also got the doctor to check that. But she said its manageable. Also she said I did the right thing to walk away from weightlifting ( deadlifts / barbell back squats) while it’s manageable i have to monitor it. She reckons near on 5 years of weightlifting my body has caught up with me and basically had enough. I don’t want to aggravate it or ended up with a herniated disc or worse. For most people they can’t do fitness full stop or they are worse off. So I feel like I’ve been given a second chance in fitness but a different approach and more safer. And while its upsetting and gutting. It is what it is. I have to be grateful I can still do fitness.
So I brought a portable pull up rack. You can do loads of bodyweight movements. And I can add my gym rings onto it and do dips. I can also ruck with my weighted vest. I can still do BP & landmine squats ( well landmine does all body movements. And I can still use my triceps bar and cable and barbell for bicep work. And other things. I’m just saving up for a rowing machine now. Than I’m going to buy a proper rucking backpack that goes across your waist and top of shoulders and put weight in and just walk endless. To get that upper back muscles and trap muscles. Than I invest in a kettlebell for kettle bell swings. ( so I have something to work with and I’m still training. And doing some weight training.
So instead of weightlifting its calisthenics & rucking life. My new journey in fitness begins 💪.
