Hidden Disabilities Laynard Scheme

So… we have this scheme in place for people with disabilities hidden or not hidden. And this morning. I was rejected from a antique shop near me .. the guy would not give me the time of day and did not want to listen.

I could understand if I went out 24/7 but I don’t. Most of my shopping is done online and I only go out if I need to. If you know I like the odd coffee. Browsing vintage shops . Because its like going back in time. Me being the old soul that I am.

What happened caused me to have a meltdown and left me in a huge state and very depressed. And I don’t say this lightly. I struggle enough as it is. And I am isolated as it also.

On another note. Being the buddhist I am . I decided to turn that negative into a positive. And get my shizzle together and try another shop . And yes the shop was vintage retreat and they welcomed me with open arms no questions nothing. It felt amazing and the people are just bloody lovely.

I will be sticking and going back to them in mean time. I think more independent shops need to learn about this scheme. Because a small percentage are being ableist arseholes . And they don’t understand the impact on us. And what the consequences will lead too. I had a lot of support. On fb from people .. i am not one to normally air my shizzle but I had to get out and show this shop was being ableist and discriminating. Which goes with the equality act.

If you encounter this speak out complain put on shit reviews plaster it everywhere over the net boycott the very shop who rejected you.

Anyhoo , I leave this here much love to you all 🖤📿🕉
